1913 – 2004

FARMINGTON – Tekla Rodzen Wagner, 90, of Farmington, formerly of Dixfield, died peacefully on Feb. 7, at Pinewood Terrace after a lengthy illness.

She was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Wilton, a daughter of Paul and Nellie (Anielia Kisiel) Rodzen and was raised in Wilton and educated in Wilton schools. In 1932, she married Wilfred Wagner of Livermore Falls. They made their home in Wilton for 27 years before moving to Dixfield.

She was employed at the Wilton Woolen Mill, Marble Dry Cleaners and area novelty mills for many years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and gardener. She also enjoyed snowmobile trips with her husband and friends and trips to the coast with her family. Over the years, she attended Nazarene churches in Dryden, Livermore Falls and Dixfield.

She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She took particular pride in providing an outstanding home environment and strong work ethic for her family.

She is survived by a son, Lauriston Wagner and his wife, Irene of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Beverly Collins and her husband, Keith of Farmington; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband after 68 years of marriage; by her sisters, Pauline Neil, Mary Vinal, Clara Chamberlain; and by her brothers, (Bolestaw) Bill Rodzen, Stephen Rodzen and Carroll Rodzen.
