1943 – 2004

LEWISTON – Jeannette (Lagasse) Malier, 60, known to her friends as “Ducky,” a resident of Webster St., Auburn, went to be with the Lord early Wednesday, Feb. 11, after a Courageous Battle with Cancer. She had been a patient at Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center for the last two months.

She was born in Lewiston April 23, 1943, the daughter of Lucien P. and Dorothy (Duquette) Lamontagne and was educated in local schools.

On Aug. 10, 1990, she married Theodore E. Malier in Auburn. Mrs. Malier was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Acme Club, Pastime Club and was a life member of South End Social club all of Lewiston.

“Ducky’s” interests included playing competitive darts, cooking, music and collecting “Ducks.” She was known for her long hair and made provisions for it to be donated to Locks of Love for children with cancer.

Survivors include her husband, Theodore E. Malier of Lewiston; one daughter, Nichole Lynn Lagasse of Maine; one son, Scott J. Lagasse of Auburn; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Levasseur of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Philip (Constance D.) Verratti of North Haverhill, N.H.; two brothers, Robert LaGace of Lisbon and Roland Lagasse of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.
