1921 – 2004

SOUTH PARIS – Marion R. Edwards, 82, of Norway and Oxford died Friday evening at the Market Square Health Care Center.

She was born in South Paris, Feb. 16, 1921, the daughter of Herman H. and Florence Cotton Record. She graduated from Paris High School and had worked at Burnham-Morrill Company for several years and then worked as a nanny/housekeeper for several local families.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Oxford. She was a past president of the Daughter’s of Union Veterans, Elizabeth Blake Crockett Tent #8 and past president of the Sons of Union Veterans Auxillary of Norway-Paris area. She also belonged to the senior citizens.

On Aug. 18, 1958, she married Albert A. Edwards. He died May 1, 1971.

She enjoyed music and played several instruments and was a member of the Downeast Country Music Association.

Survivors include two brothers, Carroll Record of West Paris, and Edwin Record of South Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
