1907 – 2004
PORTLAND – Grace B. Roberts, 96, formerly of Hawthorne Street, Brunswick, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, at St. Joseph’s Manor.
She was born, April 27, 1907, in Stockton Springs a daughter of Blanchard C. and Dora Bowden Roberts. She graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, where she was a member of the honor society.
She was employed for 10 years at Wrentham Normal School in Massachusetts, and was director of the Episcopal Church Home in Chicago for 23 years, before retiring in 1969, to take care of her aging father, who died at 102.
She was a member of the Brunswick United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Cora E. Pensiero of Freeport; a nephew, Dwight Pensiero of Freeport; two nieces, Betty Miller of Attleboro, Mass., and Grace Martinez of San Mateo, Calif.; and several grandnieces and nephews, including Cathy Pensiero of New Hampshire.
