BETHEL – A two-car crash at the Parkway-Route 26 intersection slightly injured one person Monday afternoon.

Jason Marchi, 20, of New Hampshire was stopped at the intersection at 3 p.m., headed south on Route 26, when he pulled out in front of Kyle York, 20, of Paris, said Bethel police officer Michael Grenier.

Marchi’s 2001 Honda Accord hit York’s 1996 Chevy Cavalier on the back passenger door, Grenier said.

Bethel Rescue transported York to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, where his condition was unavailable Monday afternoon.

Neither Marchi or his two passengers were hurt in the crash, Grenier said.

Grenier said the Bethel Fire Department “did a fantastic job” providing traffic control at the busy intersection until the accident scene was cleared.

Marchi’s car sustained $3,500 in damage, while damage to York’s car was estimated at $3,000.
