1944 – 2004

LEWISTON – Mary Louise Haile, 59, lost her fight with cancer and died Saturday, Feb. 21, at Central Maine Medical Center, with her husband at her side.

One of five children she was born to Wallace and Bonnie Haile on Aug. 29, 1944, in Detroit, Mich. She graduated from Laker High School, Elkton, Mich., Class of 1963, and then married her first husband with whom she had five children.

She has lived and worked in the Lewiston and Auburn area for the past 25 years and was best known as an employee at Etonics. Having a strong talent and love for interior decorating she had a keen eye for design and was ready to help out as requested. Her wonderful sense of humor and optimistic outlook lightened any problem and made her a friend to be enjoyed.

Her favorite times were at home. She especially loved gardening and was know to brag about how big she could grow her squash and how she never allowed weeds to find a home there.

She and Skip enjoyed playing Monopoly, reading, discussing current events and eating seafood. She was a lover of nature and animals as evidenced by her tolerance of the deer and small creatures that would find their way into her garden and feast on her produce.

She is survived by Frank “Skip” Hiltz of Auburn, her husband and soul mate of 25 years; she has two living brothers, Melvin Haile of Oklahoma, and Bobby G Haile of Texas; her sons, Donald Campbell of Florida, and Robert Campbell Jr. of Michigan; her daughters, Donna Marie Breault, Tamara Zimmerman, and Tracy Campbell of Michigan; three grandchildren, Blake Campbell, Stephanie and Joshua Zimmerman.
