MEXICO – Oxford Federal Credit Union’s Community Education Committee visited Robin Marshall’s Dirigo High School class recently, along with WGME Channel 13’s Vivian Bean, to film a presentation of “Financial Life 101.”

This package, created especially by the credit union for high school students, introduces them to savings plans, checking accounts, credit, credit reports and loans, and how these financial tools will affect their lives.

Bean asked to film the class as part of her ongoing series, “Learning Matters.” Following the hour-long presentation, Bean interviewed several students. Members of the credit union team included: Matt Kaubris, Cindy Giroux, Samantha Noyes, Lenny Fairchild and Wendy Martin. The segments will air Monday, March 1, and Tuesday, March 2.
