LEWISTON – Edward S. Banas Sr. of Voluntown, Conn., national commander-in-chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, announces the appointment of Arthur J. Roy of Lewiston as chairman of the National Buddy Poppy Committee for 2003-2004.
Roy will chair the committee at the VFW and Auxiliary National Community Service Conference to be held at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C., March 7 to 10.
Roy is serving as post adjutant of the VFW on Minot Avenue in Auburn, is chairman of the Veterans Memorial Cemetery Association in Augusta and also serves as quartermaster of District 9 VFW. He resides on Russell Street in Lewiston.
