ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) – A Brooklyn company has recalled two candy products after state food inspectors found they posed a risk to people with peanut allergies.

Advance Imports Inc. announced Friday it was recalling Hongding Peanut Candy and Hongding Sesame Candy because they contain undeclared peanuts. The products were both sold in the New York City area in clear five-ounce plastic bags.

Consumers who bought the candy are urged to return it to their place of purchase.

People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the candy.

No illnesses had been reported as of Friday.
