1930 – 2004

LEWISTON – Jeanette M. Richmond, 73, of Claire St. in Lewiston and formerly of Livermore Falls, died early Friday morning, March 5, at Central Maine Medical Center following a courageous battle against Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born in Livermore Falls Aug. 6, 1930, a daughter of Irving and Rose L. (LeDuc) Strout. She was educated in Livermore Falls and graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1950.

On March 9, 1951, she married James A. Richmond who died Oct. 29, 1998. For a brief time from 1950 to 1951, she worked at the Livermore Falls Glove Shop. Following her marriage she worked as a homemaker as she and her husband raised their two children. She and her husband enjoyed traveling.

They visited numerous places all over the United States and being the huge country music fans that they were, they especially enjoyed visiting the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn., and also visiting Branson, Mo.

She was a member of DECMA, the Downeast Country Music Association. When her children were growing up she enjoyed camping at Sebago Lake and in later years, spent good times at their camp in Leeds.

She enjoyed watching a good movie or a good country show, eating sweets and ice cream, visiting family in Livermore Falls and dining out. She was a devoted wife and mother who kept a wonderful home. She was witty with a great sense of humor, caring, loving, hospitable and sincere and will be greatly missed by her family.

She leaves a daughter, Gail Boisvert and husband Daniel of Lewiston; a son, Dennis Richmond and his fiancee Suzanne Labbe of Lewiston; and a sister, Pauline Labrecque of New Castle.

She was predeceased by her parents; her stepfather, William Champagne; two sisters, Vivian Dracos and Lorraine Pineau; and two brothers, Robert and Jack Strout.
