1913 – 2004
LEWISTON – Marie Ange Baker, 90, of 23 Howard St., Lewiston, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 4.
Born in Lewiston on July 15, 1913, she was the daughter of Luc and Alma Bourgoin Levesque. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’33.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a claims clerk for the State of Maine Unemployment Commission. She was married to J. Albert Baker, who passed away on Jan. 24, 1971.
A life-long member of Ss. Peter & Paul Parish, she belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne, Marchandes de Bonheur, the Maine State Retirees Association, and Lewiston Senior Citizens.
Although she had no children of her own, she took great pride and pleasure in her extended family, and was an especially devoted and loving aunt.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and two great-great-nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Therese Langelier on Sept. 28, 2003.
