1937 -2004

PORTLAND – Larry L. Bryant, 66, of Park St., Livermore Falls, died Tuesday, March 16, at Mercy Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on Sept. 7, 1937, the son of Linwood and Geraldine Bryant. On April 10, 1955, he married Louise (Blondie) Paré at St. Rose of Lima, Jay.

He retired from International Paper after 37 years of service. He also retired from Wausau-Mosinee/Otis Mill in 2001. He was a devoted husband, Dad and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, especially following the sports. He especially enjoyed hunting with his father, sons and grandsons.

He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of I.P., a member of the Jay-Livermore Hunting Club for 46 years, and served as secretary/treasurer for 43 years, a lifetime member of the NRA, one of the founders of Area Youth Sports, and served on several committees at the Otis Division Credit Union, currently holding vice-chairman of the board. He was past president of the Amfriends of Jay-Amvets, devoted to Special Olympics and the 200 club for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Louise; daughter, Debbie and Santo DeMillo; son, Gary and Brenda Bryant; daughter, Brenda and Mark Leclerc; daughter, Tanya Desjardins; daughter, Crystal and Jim Vigue; daughter, Kimberly and Ross Hamblin; son, Rodney and Debbie Bryant; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his parents, Linwood and Geraldine Bryant; sister, Marlene and Lawrence Paré; sister, Bonnie and Al Harmon. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
