AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer three computer workshops designed for teachers from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, starting March 30. Teachers will receive CEU’s.

Integrating Technology into the Classroom (CPT 002-01) will be held March 30, April 6 and 13 and costs $95. It will help teachers analyze their computer needs, sort through the resources available, develop strategies for effective integration and gain confidence in using technology in the classroom.

Using Microsoft PowerPoint in the Classroom (CPT 003-01) is scheduled for April 27 and May 4 and costs $65. It will introduce strategies and projects designed to teach, reinforce and strengthen the questioning, writing, analyzing and presentation skills students will use in their lives.

Microsoft Excel for Educators (CPT 004-01) will be held May 11, 18 and 25 and costs $95. The workshop will help teachers gain proficiency in working with spreadsheet programs for professional and classroom use. Teachers will learn how to maximize productivity using Microsoft Excel and advanced features of the software application.
