GARDINER – The “Alive! from Johnson Hall” concert series will bring some youth rock to its next performance.

Jinxed from the Augusta area will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, in Johnson Hall, 280 Water St.

Offering a blend of funk, folk, blues and rock, band members Joel Lockwood, Cody Brown, J.R. Davis and Matt Perez consistently awe crowds with soulful lyrics and mind-bending jams, according to the series organizers.

Series host Martin Swinger will sing and introduce the musicians.

“Alive! from Johnson Hall” is in its eighth season of presenting Maine musicians on Friday nights during March and April.

The concerts take place in historic Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center in downtown Gardiner.

This year’s series runs through April 23.

Each of the eight concerts presents a different style of music.

Tickets are $8 at the door. For reservations, people can call 582-7144.
