SABATTUS – A free fall getaway weekend at Tacoma Lakes is just one of the 100 prizes, including heating oil and a bread machine. that persons can win by purchasing tickets for the May 1 raffle at the Dominican Convent at 61 Lisbon Rd.
The tickets are six for $5 and can be purchased anytime at the Dominican Convent or at the Sabattus Credit Union on April 16 and 17.
The raffle is part of the spring bazaar at the convent, scheduled for April 30 and May 1, where people can purchase knitted goods and baked items. Those present at the raffle drawing at 2:30 p.m. can choose their own prizes.
A huge garage sale is also planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 2 and 3, at the convent. The events are part of the ongoing effort to raise funds for the local food pantry and Loaves and Fishes.
