LEWISTON – Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Saturday.
Officers responded to 413 Main St. at about 2:30 a.m. after receiving a call that someone had been stabbed. They arrived to find a man in the apartment with several stab wounds, said Lt. Michael McGonagle.
The man was rushed to Central Maine Medical Center. He remained hospitalized Saturday night.
Police are not releasing the name of the man while the case is under investigation. His condition is unknown.
McGonagle said investigators have received conflicting reports from witnesses about what happened.
