NORWAY – The 55 Alive – Driver Safety Program will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. April 23 and 28 at the Municipal Building, sponsored by SeniorsPlus. Apply at the office or call 743-6651 by April 20.

A second class will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. April 22 and 29 at Bridgton Community. Apply there for enrollment or call 647-3116 by April 19. Participants must attend both days to receive the certificate (no tests). There is a fee of $10, and light refreshments will be available.

The AARP refresher classroom course is geared to age 50 and over. The program includes new material on how to assess driver capabilities, how to adjust to age-related changes in physical abilities and how to use new features and safety-related equipment in later model cars.

Maine drivers 55 and over will receive an additional discount on their auto insurance for three years upon receipt of the certificate of completion.
