1928 – 2004

LEWISTON – Richard A. Thompson, 75, a resident of Livermore Falls, died Wednesday, April 7, at Russell Park Manor following a long illness.

He was born in Livermore Falls on May 14, 1928, the son of George and Lillian Merrill Thompson. He was educated in the Livermore school system.

In 1973, he married Betty Smith in Jay. He worked in the woods and also at the Wilton Tanning Co. He was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene of Livermore Falls. He was a member of the United Baptist Church of Dryden.

He is survived by his wife of Livermore Falls; a daughter, Sandra Landry and her husband Joseph of Lewiston; two brothers, Ralph of Arizona, and Harland of Wilton; a sister, Annie Trask of North Turner; and two grandchildren, Curtis and Sheldon.

He was predeceased by a stepson, Gilbert Duguay.
