1933 – 2004

LEWISTON – Lucille Bail Chapman, 70, of 34 Terrace Rd., Auburn, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 10, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston on Oct. 23, 1933, she was the youngest child of Louis Philippe and Aurelie Marcotte Bail. She attended the convent school in Sabattus. She was a graduate of Presentation of Mary High School in Hudson, N.H., and later of Seton Hill University of Greensburg, Pa.

On July 9, 1960, she married Wilson K. Chapman Jr. at Ss. Peter & Paul Church. A devoted wife and mother, she took great pride in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

A member of Holy Cross Parish, she is survived by her husband of Auburn; two sons, Wilson K. Chapman III of Kingston, N.H., and Matthew Seely and his wife Kim of Nashua, N.H.; four daughters, Marie Elisbeth Degulis and her husband Michael of Brookline, N.H., Madelyn Reed and her husband Walter of Auburn, Ruth Ann Votra and her husband Scott of Litchfield, and Claire M. Risteen and her husband Steve of Nashua, N.H; two sisters, Marie-Reine Chabot and her husband Fernand of Auburn, and Monique Kane of Elmira, N.Y.; and 10 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Madeleine Barbin; and a brother, Claude L.P. Bail.
