AUBURN – The Garden Club of the Woman’s Literary Union will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15, for its annual herb luncheon. Members are asked to bring their own special herb casserole, salad or bread to share. Susan Morgan will host the luncheon.
Garden program
LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Falls Community Library, in conjunction with the Androscoggin County Extension Service, announces a free program, “Get Your Garden Ready for Spring,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at the Lisbon Falls library.

Master Gardener/Volunteer Elizabeth Kreigh will explain how to get the yard and garden off to a great start by covering the following topics: cleaning the garden, pruning shrubs and bushes, separating perennials and soil testing and preparation. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

Vigil committee
LISBON – The Maine Vietnam Veterans Vigil Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, at the VFW Post 9459, Route 196. Agenda items will include future activities and preparing the float for parades. For more information, call 353-2152.
