GREENE – April has been declared as Grange Month and the Androscoggin Grange 8 invites community members to learn more about members’ achievements and activities while discovering ways to become more involved in the community at an open house on Thursday, April 15.

The open house will create opportunities for non-members to learn more about the organization at a coffee and dessert at 6:30 p.m. followed by a special meeting at 7:30 at the grange, 99 Main St. Everyone is welcome.

The grange not only provides fun-filled and educational activities for its members, it also provides them with a forum to voice their political concerns. The grange gives its members the opportunity to serve their neighborhoods through community service projects.

“Our communities are constantly changing, and each of us contributes to that change in some way,” said President Carol Buzzell. “Each and every person should ask themselves, What changes would I like to see in my community?’ Everyone should want to make a difference in their community, and at the grange, you can discover how to make that difference.”

For more information about the open house or to become a member, contact Buzzell at 946-7746 or Janice Brewer at 946-5006.
