BETHEL – The last of the “Local Knowledge Series” lectures will be presented by the Mahoosuc Land Trust at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, in the Trustees Auditorium, McLaughlin Science Center, Gould Academy.

Jennifer Loomis, a local wildlife photographer, will speak on “Wood Ducks and Other Local Favorites.” Loomis lives in Greenwood and has had her photographs printed in National Geographic, Audubon and National Wildlife magazines, as well as having an award-winning photo on display at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.

She has published a “children’s book” (for ages 8 to 98) called “A Duck and a Tree,” which will be for sale after the lecture and which she will sign for anyone interested.
