LEWISTON – Fernande Rodrigue, 81, of 25 Brooks Ave., Lewiston, died Friday, April 30, at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lewiston Feb. 27, 1923, she was the daughter of Emile and Yvonne St. Laurent Gagne. She had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was employed in the textile industry as a sheet folder for many years.
She was the widow of Donald Rodrigue, whom she married Oct. 26, 1958, and who died on Dec. 28, 2003.
Mrs. Rodrigue was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
She is survived by two sons, Clarke Duarte and his wife Jan of Navarre, Fla., and Jay Rodrigue and his wife Terry of Lewiston; one brother, Ronald Gagne of Lewiston; one sister, Jeannine Farrell and her husband George of Palm Coast, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Carol Byrd.
