OTISFIELD – The Oxford Hills Clergy will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church for the monthly session.

The Oxford Hills Christian Men’s Group will hold a breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at the church. All men are invited. A minimal donation will be accepted. Call Earl Andrews at 539-8623 for more information.

Scholarships

PARIS – The high school senior class members are being urged to apply for scholarship help by checking with their guidance officers for forms to fill out from the Oxford County Retired Teachers Association (now the Oxford County Education Association-Retired).

Once the seniors have the application forms, they should fill them out promptly and get back by the second week of May so the association’s Scholarship Committee will be able to process and select three students for funding.

Mother’s Day meal

NORTH WATERFORD – A Mother’s Day public supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the North Waterford Congregational Church vestry to raise funds to send children to summer camp.

The supper is held each year to provide funds for scholarships to Pilgrim Lodge and other area summer camps. The church is located on the Five Kezars Road, opposite Melby’s Market.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The menu will include baked beans, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls, beverages and dessert.

The Rev. George Frobig still has application forms available for Pilgrim Lodge, and if a child would be interested in attending, contact him at 207-693-6461.

Regular Sunday worship services are being held at 10 a.m. at the Stoneham Congregational Church May 2 through June. Sunday school meets at 10 a.m.

Extension to meet

FRYEBURG – The members of the Fryeburg Extension will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Fryeburg Legion; the business meeting will start at 9. Plans for the annual plant and white elephant sale on June 5 will be finalized and members will plan next year’s programs.

Murial Barboza will present a program on rubber stamping; if members have any of these supplies bring them, markers, scissors and stamp pads. It will be a sandwich luncheon and the hostesses will be Ginny Noftle and Nancy Dighello.

New members and guests are welcome. Remember the food basket.

Heywood speaker

NORWAY – The Heywood Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, May 10, at the clubhouse on Crockett Ridge. Marge Medd will be the guest speaker, talking about her upcoming political process. Telstar reunion

BETHEL – The Telstar High School class of 1994 reunion will be held on Friday, July 16, in Bethel. The committee is looking for all people who were part of the class. The event will be barbecue-style, with everyone bringing a dish to share. To find out time and to RSVP, call Sarah at 824-7259.
