WOODSTOCK – Annella Burnham offered a program, “Do You Remember?” at the April meeting of the Woodstock Historical Society.
Some of the questions she gave various members were: Do you remember a favorite teacher? Do you remember a train trip you took? Do you remember a big goof-up in cooking? and Do you remember an embarrassing moment?
During the business meeting President Olive Risko gave a research report on “Rural Free Delivery,” including tales of old carriers in Woodstock. Clerk Vicki May announced that the proper report had been made to the state to maintain the charter.
Burnham agreed to undertake fund-raising. Members will sell chances on calendars. Treasurer Paul Billings also suggested they start planning History Day earlier this year. Curator Larry Billings supplied plastic Easter eggs for decoration. Burnham and Mary Billings brought refreshments.
Meetings are now at the museum building again. The next one will be 7 p.m. Saturday, May 8. Secretary Elaine Roberts is planning a program she assembled from things taken from The Lewiston Daily Sun. Everyone is welcome.
