TOGUS – Billy D. Jones, 65, a resident of East Livermore, died Monday, May 3, at the Veterans Hospital in where he had been a patient since April 13.

He was born in Berry, Ala., on Feb. 28, 1939, the son of John C. and Rosella Hyde Jones and attended school in Liberty Center, Ohio. On March 13, 1999, he married Gail Masterman Walker in Livermore Falls. He worked at the local shoe shops, Dingley Press in Lisbon and most recently for Metal Specialties in Auburn. He enjoyed hunting, tending his flower and vegetable gardens and he also had a love for all animals.

He is survived by his wife of Livermore Falls; two daughters, Jody Szabo of Ohio, and Jeannie Trejo of Iowa; a son, Jim Jones of California; a stepson, Sgt. Jeremy Walker, who is currently serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany; a stepdaughter, Donna Gombar of Connecticut; five brothers, John V., Paul, Tom, Kenny and Lonnie Jones; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
