This article, is in response to my last article about how high schools should not have laptops. I recently received a letter from the Governor himself, Mr. John E. Baldacci, in which he stated that “To have the opportunity for 21st century-jobs, students need 21st century tools to learn.” This is indeed a very excellent point and after reading the letter, he has definitely changed my opinion about whether students should have laptops. I would now consider myself neutral because I see both sides about how we are in debt, but also how students in Maine should have a chance to receive a better education. So, thank you, Mr. Baldacci, you have now changed my opinion on laptops. That may not seem like a lot for one person, but it does help.
