PARIS – A Thursday Job Fair will bring together a record 30 businesses, including those wanting to hire young adults for summer jobs.
The fair, coordinated by the Growth Council of Oxford Hills and the South Paris Career Center, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. May 6 at the Western Maine University and Community College Center at 232 Main St. in South Paris.
The Career Center at the college center is the new home for Oxford Hills Job Fairs. “We’re really excited that there is going to be one central location for job seekers,” said the growth council’s Barb Olson.
She said summer employment opportunities are available for students at businesses such as McDonald’s, Wal-Mart, Omni Camp, Camp Wigwam and Thompson Lake Environmental Association.
“This is a free event and all are encouraged to come and check it out,” she said.
The following is a list of businesses that will have booths at the fair: AFLAC, Allied Resources For Correctional Health, Bonney Staffing and Training Centers, Camp Wigwam, Career Center, C.N. Brown Co., Community Concepts, Inc., Down East Communications, Excel Communications, Growing Opportunities and Hancock Lumber Co.
Also, Livebridge Inc., Main Street Rehab & Landscaping Inc., Maine Staffing Group, Manpower, McDonald’s Restaurant, Medical Care Development, National Council on Aging, NEPW Logistics, OMNI Camp, Pike Industries Inc., Pinkletink Chimney Service, Reliv and The CCS Companies.
Also, Thompson Lake Environmental Association, United States Army, Usborne Books At Home, Wal-Mart and the Western Maine University and Community College Center.
