The events include a fund-raising reception from 4-5:30 p.m. at the McLaughlin Gardens on Main Street in South Paris, a public supper at 5:30 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church in Norway, and a social service roundtable from 3 to 4 p.m. at Community Concepts.

Tickets for the fund-raising reception are available by contacting Roy Gedat, candidate for House District 95, David Ivey, candidate for House District 100, Terry Hayes, candidate for House District 94, and Marge Medd, candidate for Senate District 13, or by phoning Oxford County Democratic Chairwoman Cathy Newell at 875-2116.

Tickets for the supper are $10 for an advanced guaranteed seat, or $8 at the door. The meal is being prepared as a fund-raiser by the Second Congregational Church Youth Group for their upcoming leadership conference trip, and will include chicken, mashed potato, cole slaw, homemade rolls and brownie sundaes.

The county committee will have a silent auction and will recognize the service of Rep. Rosita Gagne-Friel, who has represented Paris, Buckfield, Hartford, Sumner and Hebron for the past eight years.

Prior to the reception and supper, the governor will attend economic development events at the Oxford Business Park and the Norway Downtown Development project, accompanied by community leaders. The Growth Council of Oxford Hills arranged the economic development events. For information, phone Cathy Newell at 875-2116.
