LEWISTON – Leonard S. Haas, 56, of 15 Howe St., passed away Thursday, May 6, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Haverhill, Mass., on Dec. 15, 1948, the son of Roger Sr. and Shirley (Parker) Haas. He grew up and attended schools in Mechanic Falls.

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

Following his discharge from the Army, he lived in Columbus, Ga., where he drove cement trucks and later tractor trailers across the U.S.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Patterson) Haas whom he married on May 25, 1991; three stepchildren, Valerie, Melissa, and Stanley Patterson; two daughters, Crystal and Melissa Haas; five sisters, Sandi Millett, Carole Sadlock, Wendy Provencher, Edrie Marchand, and Patricia Brailsford; two brothers, Roger Haas Jr. and Clifford Haas Sr.

He also leaves behind a very dear, loving, and caring person Pastor Kenneth Libby who had helped Mr. Haas find Jesus again.
