LEWISTON – Kevin Lee Norton, 41, of 7 Tucker St., Lewiston, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his wife early Sunday morning, May 9.

Born in Lewiston, Sept. 29, 1962, a son of Robert L. and Phyllis Margaret (Howard) Norton, he was educated in local schools, and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On July 23, 1994, he married Debra J. Lessard. He first worked several years in the family business, known as Norton Transmission and then went to work for Poland Spring Bottling Co., where he was currently employed as a mechanic and had been so for 10 years.

He was a member of Holy Family Church and was an avid sports fan. For sports, he enjoyed NASCAR auto racing, following the New York Giants football team and the Boston Red Sox as well. In his free time, he truly enjoyed working on his home and took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed doing little odd jobs for his mother-in-law, Jeannette Lessard.

His other favorite enjoyment was that he loved taking Sunday drives to the ocean. He was a loving husband and a wonderful friend to his wife, Debra, as well as a great friend and co-worker to everyone else.

He leaves his wife, Debra of Lewiston; a stepson, Michael G. Norton of Lewiston; his mother, Phyllis M. Norton of Lewiston; three brothers, Edward R. Norton of Lewiston, Gary J. Norton and wife, Linda of Sabattus and Brian P. Norton of Lewiston; his stepmother, Muriel Norton of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
