SUPPORTING THE TROOPS: A recognition for Armed Forces Day was held Friday in Norway, especially for the troops who are fighting in Iraq. From the left, Mariel Geiger of WOXO Radio, organizer of the recognition; Leslie Dean, Norway, national junior vice president of Daughter of Union Veterans of the Civil War; and Ron Blake, Norway selectmen and pastor of the First Baptist Church of Paris, Paris Hill, spoke of their gratitude for the U.S. troops and the need for the community to support them. WOXO will be donating $100 to the 133rd Engineer Battalion of Maine.
