NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge will host a charity game to benefit Alzheimer’s on Friday, May 21. A dollar will be collected from each player for Alzheimer research. Proceeds will go to the American Contract Bridge League.

Winners for the May 14 game were: Mike Quinn and Fred Letourneau; Eric and Marilyn Sahlberg; Harry Richardson and Les Buzzell; Dick Allen and Pete Cummings.

Eleanor Griffin and Jim Dickens, along with Beverly Dolan and Bev Pelletier, also placed.

Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge meets at 9 a.m. everyFriday at the Fare Share Food Coop, 445 Main St. Municipal parking and entrance are in the rear.

Sunday message

NORWAY – The Rev. Joy Gasta’s message for Sunday, May 31, will feature Memorial Day and the UU principle of “The Goal of World Community with Peace, Liberty and Justice for All” at the Norway UU Church.

Worship services will begin at 11 a.m., led by Gasta, with Music Director Heather Pierson and the choir, providing music. Religious education will start at 11:15 a.m. Children will attend the first part of the service with their parents.

A coffee social will follow the service. All are welcome. The church is located at 479 Main St.

Need books

WATERFORD – The Friends of the Waterford Library Association are seeking donations of books for the annual book sale on July 4 at the library on the green in Waterford flat. They request that no one bring textbooks, Readers Digest condensed books or magazines. Leave donations in the library foyer or call 583-2050 and leave a message.
