Dear Sun Spots: Once again the Lance Cpl. Scott Band Park in Strong will hold its annual lawn sale.

This year it will be held Memorial Day weekend, May 28 to 31. Profits from this fund-raiser help to do so much at our park. This year’s money will be used to purchase more playground equipment for our children. Donations to the lawn sale are needed. Pickups can be arranged. Please call Mary White at (207) 684-2166, June Allen at (207) 684-3231 or Sue Ellsworth at (207) 684-4520. Thanks for your help. – Sue Ellsworth, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I am a senior citizen in excellent health who would like to bike ride again. But because of back problems, I can’t risk falling off a two-wheeler. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have a adult three-wheeler for sale at a reasonable price. I can be reached at (207) 782-8518. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: Your great column starts my day every morning. Keep up the great job you do.

You had someone write in to your column which appeared in the May 11 newspaper. They were looking for someone who would be interested in postcards. No other information was given. They signed it No Name, No Town. I would be very interested as I have a postcard collection. Could you forward me more information? – D.J.G., Auburn.

Answer: Thanks for the compliment, D.J.G. Unfortunately that’s all the information our reader provided and perhaps she or he would be willing to provide more information, which Sun Spots will publish here. You are not alone in this interest.

• To Gary Dubreuil of Livermore Falls (Sun Spots inquiry May 13): Sun Journal photographer Daryn Slover kindly provided the following answer:

He says the cable stretched across the river in Auburn is used by the U.S. Geological Survey to take water level flows on the river. The Geological Survey keeps a Web site with up-to-date water flows on rivers throughout the country. You can learn more by checking out http://waterdata.usgs.gov/me/nwis.

Dear Sun Spots: Will the party that had the manual typewriter for sale, please contact my number again. Your message was interrupted and the call number was unclear. I seek a manual typewriter, standard type, not portable. Please call again. Thank you. I can be reached at (207) 375-8675. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I would like to know how much interest the taxpayers of this state paid for all the bond issues that were voted on and passed for the last 10 years.

Could you please direct me to that information or are you able to gather that information for me so that I can write an article for publication? – W. F., No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots would direct you to contact the librarian at the Maine State Library in Augusta, (207) 287-5600, http://www.maine.gov/msl. Alternatively, you can head up there yourself to do the research for your article.
