PALM BEACH GARDEN, Fla. – Sidney Arthur Pierce Jr., 45, of Palm Beach Garden, Fla., died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, May 19.

Born May 21, 1958, in Chicopee, Mass., the son of Sidney A. and Jean E. Carrow Pierce Sr. He attended Glenburn Elem., Higgins Classical Institute, and graduated from Hermon High School in 1977. “Sid” lived and worked in the Seacoast Area of New Hampshire, before moving to southern Florida. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan and was also a dedicated New England sports fan. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and lived life to its fullest.

He is survived by his son, Allen Hicks of Etna; his mother, Jean Pierce and her companion Larry Young of Saco; five sisters, Mary Sanford and her husband Bruce of Greene, Barbara Pierce and her companion Steve Martin of Concord N.H., Nancy Jordan of Northwood, N.H., Glenna Provost of Barrington, N.H., Judy Audette and her husband Robert of Fremont, N.H.; two brothers, Walter Pierce and his wife Gayle of Levant, and Dr. Richard Pierce and his wife Cheryl of Stratham, N.H.; 15 nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and nephews.
