LEWISTON – A parenting class, “1,2,3,4 Parents!,” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, June 3 through 17, at Advocates for Children, B Street Community Center, 57 Birch St., Suite 204.

The three-week course will use videos and group discussion to help parents learn skills for parenting a young child. “1,2,3,4 Parents!” was written by national parenting experts who understand the challenges of being a mom or dad.

The workshop will teach parents discipline methods that work, how to prevent temper tantrums, how to make rules that a child will follow, routines that will make life easier and ways for parents to take care of themselves.

Participants will receive a workbook and a tips booklet to take home. Child care will be available. Registration is required because space is limited. For more information or to register, call 783-3990.
