OTISFIELD – American Legion Post 112 will hold a Memorial Day observance and flag ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday, May 31, at the park on Route 121 in Otisfield at 8 a.m.

There will also be a parade in Oxford beginning at 9 a.m. at the elementary school on Route 121. At the conclusion of the parade and ceremonies, refreshments will be served at the American Legion Post 112 at Route 121 and Skeetfield Road. All are welcome.

Dedication

NORWAY – Stone-Smart Post, American Legion, and Auxiliary will host World War II veterans on Saturday, May 29. At 2 p.m. the dedication of the World War II monument in Washington, D.C., will be shown on a big screen TV.

All World War II veterans who lived in Norway at the time they entered the armed service, any World War II veteran now living in Norway or a member of the Norway Legion or Auxiliary are invited to attend the ceremonies and bring a guest.

Legion luncheon

GREENWOOD – Ring-McKeen Post, American Legion, and Auxiliary will join with Jackson-Silver Post, American Legion, and Auxiliary at noon Saturday, May 29, at the Greenwood Town Hall on Route 26 for luncheon and the dedication of the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The Parisians and the Hillsman Chorus, a barbershop quartet, will perform.
