AUBURN – The Auburn Exchange Club has donated $2,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine.

The foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The eligibility conditions are any Maine child between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 with a diagnosed life-threatening condition, confirmed by their doctor, and who has never had a wish granted before.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine was founded by Caroline and Wayne Morong of Camden in 1992. It grants an average of 60 to 65 wishes a year and has just recently granted the 500th wish.

The cost are fully covered and include travel and spending money. The goal is to provide the child and their family with a worry-free and enjoyable experience. The entire immediate family is included in every wish.
