PARIS – The Paris Public Library book discussion group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 3, in the library Archives Room, 37 Market Square. The theme will be “20th Century Dead Authors.”

Participants are invited to read a novel by any 20th century author who has died, bringing to the meeting information to share about the author’s life and work. The discussion may “resurrect” some favorite authors whose works have been forgotten.

Many yesteryear novels from best-selling authors, such as Frank Yerby, Alistair MacLean, Kenneth Roberts, and Edna Ferber, remain great reads.

The theme of the July 1 meeting will be “Childhood Chapter Book Favorites” where participants are asked to re-read a favorite chapter book from their youth.

Anyone interested is invited to participate in the discussion group. For more information, call the Paris Public Library at 743-6994 or e-mail paris.public.library@MSLN.net.
