LEWISTON – The members of Le Vendredi Francais (French Friday) Luncheon will celebrate their heritage from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the Franco-American Heritage Center at St. Mary’s.

The luncheon will feature chowder, wrap sandwiches, dessert and beverage. The cost is $6.50 a person and anyone may join the group, which has now grown to around 120.

The goal of the monthly reunions is to have a good time and speak only French for an hour and a half. Every month also features a short entertainment program, musical or educational.

The performing artist for the June luncheon will be Lorraine Ouellette with her accordion. Ouellette has been performing for more than 35 years – alone, with family members or with friends, in nursing homes or for private functions.

She is married to Robert Ouellette, and they are the parents of seven children. They entertain at family events and gatherings. The Ouellettes live in Greene and spend the winter in Florida.

For reservations, call Claudette at 786-6936 or Richard at 783-1585.
