NORWAY – “Cakes for the Queen of Heaven, Too” will be offered this summer for women in the area. The feminist theology (study of goddesses) program will include ancient goddess religion and imagery.
What are the myths that relate to mother-daughter relationships? Hear the voices of women in Judaism and Christianity. What are the “heretical” ideas and beliefs from the faith tradition? Explore female and male issues of power and dominance. What are contemporary routes to female spirituality?
Introduction to the program will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at the Norway UU Church, 479 Main St. About eight two-hour sessions will be offered, and scheduling will be part of the June agenda.
