LEWISTON – The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52, Association Canado-Americaine, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, June 7, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center.

This is the group’s final monthly business meeting before going on a two-month summer hiatus. In addition to the normal agenda items, there will be an overview of activities sponsored by the organization over the last year, including the recent Franco House Party Concert.

Co-sponsored by the Leavitt French Department and Chapter 52, the concert was a fund-raiser for future cultural arts enrichment programs for area youth. The concert was hosted by award-winning French Canadian folk musician and dancer Benoit Bourque, who conducted a series of workshops for Leavitt High School French students earlier in the day.

ACA Chapter 52’s annual banquet will be held at noon Wednesday, June 9, at the Tin Tin Buffet restaurant on Center Street in Auburn. Those members wishing to attend should make reservations by Saturday, June 5, by calling Jeanne Poulin at 783-0635.

More information on the Association Canado-Americaine is available by calling Chapter President Gerard Legare at 783-0606.
