Blood drive

NORWAY – The American Red Cross is asking all eligible blood donors in the Norway/Paris area to give blood on Monday, June 7, when the bloodmobile comes to the Temple Hall, Temple Street, and Bring A Buddy. The blood drive is sponsored by Masonic District 16. Donor hours are 2 to 7 p.m.

The best way to give blood for the first time is to go with a friend who is experienced in the process. New donors usually find the procedure easy and painless and most will come back regularly to donate.

Most people can give blood through the Red Cross. Potential volunteer donors must be at least 17, in good health and weigh more than 110 pounds. In most cases, donors may give if they are on medication, but should know the names of these medications.
