LEWISTON – Central Maine Medical Center’s Senior Health and Wellness Services will offer the following programs to the region’s older residents during June:

People with Arthritis Can Exercise or Personal Fitness. The program includes a one-on-one evaluation and exercises designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of motion. The class will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A fee will be charged. Call for class times.

A hearing screen with Hearing Healthcare Associates will be offered on Wednesday, June 9, for those who do not presently wear a hearing aid. The screen will evaluate hearing status and potential needs. Free. By appointment only.

Bladder health consults with Angela Dubuc, RN, manager of the CMMC Bladder Control Center, will be offered on Monday, June 14, by appointment. Participants can meet one-on-one to discuss concerns and learn about possible solutions to bladder-related problems. The consults are free.

The Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute will sponsor a free ScoreKeeper cardiac risk assessment screening by appointment on Tuesday, June 22.

Integral to the ScoreKeeper screening process is a software program that creates a personalized report about an individual’s health status. Information provided by ScoreKeeper, if used effectively, can help an individual improve their cardiovascular health. It is free and by appointment only.

Free blood pressure screenings will be offered on a walk-in basis on Mondays between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays between 9:30 and 11 a.m.
