LEWISTON – Shaw’s/Star Supermarkets Inc. announces that Michael Perreault of Lewiston and Deneiges Labbe of Lewiston have been selected as recipients of a Shaw’s scholarship.

Perreault, a senior at St. Dominic Regional High School in Auburn, will attend Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., in the fall. He has participated in hockey, tennis, soccer and was a member of the Key Club while attending St. Dom’s. He also held a part-time job at Shaw’s of Lewiston. Perreault will pursue a major in business. He is the son of Dan and Janet Perreault of Lewiston.

Labbe will return to Becker College in Worcester, Mass., in the fall She has participated in field hockey and has continued to work at Shaw’s during her first year at college. She will pursue a major in physical therapy. She is the daughter of Tony and LuAnn Labbe of Lewiston.

Shaw’s/Star Supermarkets Inc. operates more than 200 supermarkets in the New England area and has been offering student scholarships for more than 40 years.

Dave Chapman, Shaw’s Lewiston store manager, reports that recipients of the scholarships demonstrate high scholastic achievements, high standards of job performance and potential to succeed in college.
