AUBURN – The annual garden tour, a fund-raiser for the Maine Music Society, is in need of volunteers for this year’s event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 10, rain or shine.
Volunteers are asked to spend half the day (either 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 12:30 to 4 p.m.) manning a garden. It involves checking tickets, selling raffle tickets and answering questions. At least two volunteers are needed at each garden during a shift. This year there are seven gardens on the tour.
In return, all volunteers receive complementary tickets to the event. The half day not manning a garden can be spent visiting the gardens on the tour.
If interested, call the Maine Music Society at 782-1403 and specify if interested in manning a garden during the morning or afternoon. If a couple volunteering together, make note of that also.
