LEWISTON – Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation scholarships were announced at the graduation ceremony on June 4, and the recipients were presented alumni foundation sweatshirts.

Sharon Martel, foundation president, Paul Karahalios, Adam Barr and John Bouchles presented the awards. Winners were:

Dana Beaudin will attend Berklee College of Music, majoring in music education. The scholarship was given in memory of Donald Roux.

Tarrah Bowen will attend Middlebury College, majoring in biology/pre-med. The scholarship was given in memory of Donald Roux.

Nicholas Beauchesne will attend Northeastern University and major in political science. The scholarship was given in memory of Anthony Karahalious.

Amanda Bergeron will attend Emerson College, majoring in communications. The scholarship was given in memory of William Carrigan.

Allison Bleakney will attend Stonehill College, majoring in American studies. The scholarship was dedicated by the Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation.

Stacy Cloutier, who is undecided on colleges, will major in communications. The scholarship was dedicated by the Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation.

Alexis Handy will attend the University of Southern Maine, majoring in communications. The scholarsip was given in memory of James Roux.

Kristina Harvey will attend the University of Connecticut, majoring in pharmacy. The scholarship was dedicated by Beulah Carrigan.

Ashley Joy will attend the University of Southern Maine. Her major is undeclared. The scholarship was dedicated by Adam Barr.

Kaitlyn Kelly will attend Champlain College, majoring in radiography. The scholarship was given in memory of Paul A. Cote.

Ashley Levesque will attend the University of New England, majoring in medical biology/pre-med. The scholarship was dedicated by Dr. Louis Talarico.

Kathleen Parent will attend the University of Connecticut at Storrs, majoring in nutrition. The scholarship was given in memory of Joseph Deschene.

Lauren St. Laurent will attend Quinnipiac University, majoring in diagnostic imaging. The scholarship was dedicated by the Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation.

Allyson St. Pierre will attend the University of Maine at Farmington, majoring in elementary education. The scholarship was given in memory of Adrienne Emmi.

Amanda Toussaint will attend the University of New England, majoring in psychobiology. The scholarship was dedicated by the Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation.

Sara Tuttle will attend Norwich University, majoring in nursing. The scholarship was dedicated by “A Friend R. H.”

The foundation presented 16 scholarships this year compared to 10 last year.
