AUBURN – The Kiwanis Club of Auburn-Lewiston is preparing for the 47th annual pancake breakfast to be held from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 13, at the Auburn Festival Plaza.

The proceeds are allocated to benefit Lewiston and Auburn youth leadership through the high school Key Clubs, eye glasses or assistive hearing devices for youth with special needs, museum passes through the city libraries, reading programs at the Longley School and pediatric trauma training.

Rain or shine, there will be 15 grills, 40 tables, 500 chairs, 500 pounds of secret pancake batter, Mailhot’s Best sausage, 300 gallons of coffee and juice.

Seventy-five volunteers from the Kiwanis and the Key Clubs of Lewiston and St. Dominic Regional High School will be on the scene.

Tickets are available at all Twin City Shaw’s and Hannaford’s for $5 in advance of June 13. All children ages 5 and under eat free. Tickets are $6 on the day of the breakfast and can be purchased at the big top, located next to the parking garage.
