AUBURN – Community Little Theatre will offer an opportunity this summer to the public who have an interest in becoming involved with the theater.

In conjunction with the world premiere presentation of two original musical comedies on July 9 and 10, CLT will offer workshops and mentors, according to interest, to volunteers desiring to explore the production aspects involved in putting together a show.

The two musical comedies were written by Linda Britt, with music by Colin Britt, the same team that produced “Billionaire Vegans” and “Who’s Running the School?” in the summer of 2003.

“The Legend of Britt Collins (Names Changed to Protect the Innocent)” is a short one-act musical farce that will open the entertainment on both evenings. “Let Me Count the Ways (A Revenge Musical)” is a full-length musical that explores friendships and revenge fantasies among a group of separated and divorced women.

Because these are new works, production staff members will have a unique opportunity to participate in building a show from the ground up.

Volunteers are welcome in all areas, but are particularly needed on the technical side: set design, decor, sound, lights, costumes, makeup, hair and publicity. No previous experience is necessary. Anyone interested is encouraged to call Linda at 782-1559, CLT at 783-0958, or visit the Web at www.laCLT.com.
