RUMFORD – Rumford Area Quilters will meet for the last time this season at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 14, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street.

A traditional potluck supper will be served. Those attending are requested to bring a contribution for the meal and their own place setting.

Quilts will be accepted for the Wrap a Smile Program. This was a challenge to members at the last meeting.

A demonstration on machine stippling is planned. All area quilters are welcome. For more information, call 562-7050.

RUMFORD The monthly Alzheimer’s Support Group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at 85 Lincoln Ave. Note the change in location.

Cheering camp

MEXICO – Any area youth in grades one through eight interested in learning the fundamentals of cheerleading may attend the fourth annual Summer Youth Cheering Camp June 28 through July 7 at the Mountain Valley Middle School gym.

Grades one through five will meet from 9 to 10 a.m.; grades six through eight will meet from 10 to 11 a.m.
